Nomex® and Kevlar® Executive/Senior Sales and Account Manager – Automotive and Industrial Markets
(Experienced Sales & Account Management Role)
Position: Full Time, Salaried Position with an annual bonus
Location: Remote - North America - US Based (Primary travel to US Markets in Midwest, Southeast and West Coast.)*
*Note: Remote/Home-Based with Business Travel - candidates are encouraged to consider access to regional airports for regular travel to east coast and mid-west markets with estimated 50% travel.
The Executive/Senior Account Manager is responsible for managing existing key customers (+$30MM) and developing new customer relationships in the Automotive and Industrial (A&I) markets in North America.
As a sales and account manager, the Executive/Senior Account Manager promotes the sale of Kevlar® and Nomex® productions/solutions in the Automotive and Industrial markets. In addition, develops and executes medium & long-term growth sales strategy for the business including leading the creation and negotiation of key supply agreements with our strategic partners.
The Executive/Senior Account Manager will report directly to the North America Sales Manager
Responsibilities
• Build strong relationships with customers, prospects, key influencers, and decision makers across the value chain in the A&I markets.
• Global Account Management of key direct customers and End-use customers including coordination of all internal multi-functional customer-facing team activities.
• Identify, manage and deliver new business opportunities to achieve revenue, profit and growth targets in North America Automotive & Industrial markets. This includes the sales of our next generation Kevlar® EXO™ technology
• Develop and manage a robust pipeline of business opportunities through Salesforce that are aligned with segment strategy to deliver profitable growth in target markets.
• Works collaboratively with a dedicated team of Marketing, Technical, and Sales Leadership (3 in Box) to drive execution of innovation programs by assessing customer needs, introducing new or existing products and positioning Kevlar® and Nomex® as the preferred solution to support customers’ growth objectives.
• Participate in industry associations and events to promote Kevlar® and Nomex® as well as representing DuPont in the market.
• Shares business, competitive and industry intelligence with internal organization (marketing, research and development, tech service, customer service, etc.) to promote increased revenue and value
• In this role, the sales and account manager will spend approximately 50% of their time focusing on new business development to build sales and engagement, and approximately 50% of their supporting account management and business relationships for current customers.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Business or similar
5+ years of experience in Sales, Business Development or Marketing, preferably in relevant markets including Automotive, Fiber Optic Cable, Industrial or Specialty materials markets
Strong ability to hunt for new opportunities and manage an opportunity pipeline by communicating needs to move projects through the pipeline identifying key action steps along the way.
Excellent presentation, communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills; ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
MBA is a plus
Approximately 40-60% travel (role can be home-office based with travel from home location to client locations)
Preferences
• Experience selling, negotiating contracts and supply agreements, and managing account relationships with customers in the Automotive, Fiber Optic, Industrial or Specialty materials markets
• Experience working at the downstream OEM/end user level as well as with value chain
