About the Role
As a Kdb+ Developer, you’ll design and develop high-performance, data-driven applications for financial services clients. You’ll work with large-scale time-series data, leveraging your Kdb+ expertise to build reliable, scalable systems that support complex financial analytics and trading environments.
This role is ideal for a technically strong developer who thrives in precision-focused environments and has a deep understanding of data engineering in financial contexts. You’ll collaborate closely with technical teams and stakeholders to deliver clean, efficient, and performant Kdb+ solutions.
Location requirement: This role is hybrid, open only to candidates based in Mumbai or Bangalore. We are also open to candidates willing to relocate to either Mumbai or Bangalore. Occasional trips to the office will be required, though no fixed on-site schedule is currently in place.
Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and maintain applications in Kdb+ for financial services clients.
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to translate data and analytics requirements into efficient Kdb+ solutions.
• Optimise and troubleshoot Kdb+ code to ensure high performance and scalability.
• Contribute to data modelling and integration of time-series and real-time data feeds.
• Follow best practices in software design, testing, and documentation.
Requirements:
• 5+ years of professional experience in software development.
• 2+ years of hands-on Kdb+ development experience.
• Strong command of Kdb and Kdb+ for data querying, transformation, and analysis.
• Excellent professionalism and communication skills, with strong English proficiency.
• Ability to work effectively in financial environments with attention to detail, precision, and reliability.
• Must be based in Mumbai or Bangalore.
Nice to have:
• Experience with Python for data analysis or integration.
• Exposure to SQL for querying and data management.
• Prior experience working in financial services or with financial data systems.
