Position:
We are looking to recruit a Junior Tax Consultant to be based out of the firm’s headquarters in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

Reports to: Head of the Cambodia Tax Practice, Tax Manager and Senior Tax Managers
Key external relationships: Clients
Key internal relationships: Project Managers, Representative Partners, Senior Managers
Salary range: Competitive, varying based on the qualifications and experience of the successful applicant and the needs of the Practice.
Position type: Full Time – Regular

Working Hour: Mon-Fri, 8am –12pm and 2pm – 6pm
Location: Phnom Penh, Cambodia
Primary Responsibilities of the role
The primary responsibility of this position is to participate in building of strong value-adding practice expertise beyond the local tax advice and to contribute to the sustainability and development of the Company’ business.
Main duties of the role
• Prepare monthly and yearly tax returns and other tax and customs compliance documents;
• Keep up to date with any developments relating to tax and customs laws, regulations and practice;
• Research tax and customs related issues exclusively on behalf of the Firm and to clients of the Firm;
• Communicate with the General Department of Taxation and Customs officials;
• Participate in knowledge management, professional development, and Firm administrative activities as requested;
• Other tasks not specifically listed in this document may be assigned from time to time.
Requirements:
Essential skills & proficiency
• Holds a tertiary degree in Tax & Accounting, or another degree that includes significant studies in these disciplines;
• Has work experience in the Tax & Accounting field, or other related positions;
• Has excellent communication skills in spoken and written English;
• Has an enthusiastic attitude towards building a career;
• Demonstrates the ability to take initiative and pay close attention to detail;
• Honesty, reliability, and a commitment to strict confidentiality;
• Is self-motivated and is committed to self-improvement; and
• Microsoft Office – Word, Excel and Outlook.
Desirable:
• Prior experience working at a professional service company is an advantage;
• Prior experience working in a multicultural workplace is an advantage;
• Friendly and approachable, with good people skills; and
• Languages other than English and Khmer would be an advantage.
