As a Junior Sommelier at W Costa Navarino, you will play a crucial role in curating and presenting exceptional wines to our guests, enhancing their overall dining experience. You will be responsible for assisting in the creation and management of an outstanding wine list, providing warm and knowledgeable service, and contributing to the seamless operation of our wine program. Responsibilities

• Assist in the creation and maintenance of an innovative and diverse wine list that complements the resort's culinary offerings.
• Monitor and manage wine inventory, ensuring optimal stock levels and rotation.
• Provide warm, engaging, and knowledgeable service to guests, guiding them through the wine selection process.
• Offer expert recommendations based on guests' preferences, menu choices, and occasions.
• Execute flawless wine service, including opening and presenting bottles with precision and style.
• Share insights into the characteristics and stories behind selected wines, enhancing the overall dining experience.
• Collaborate with the sommelier team to organize and execute captivating wine events and tastings for guests.
• Present information on the unique features of showcased wines in an engaging and approachable manner.
• Participate in ongoing sommelier team training sessions and contribute to the development of junior staff.
• Stay informed about industry trends, emerging vineyards, and new wine releases.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a safe environment for both guests and staff.

Requirements:
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a sommelier role or a relevant position within the hospitality industry.
• Strong passion for wines, including in-depth knowledge of global varietals, wine regions, and pairings.
• Certification from a recognized sommelier program is preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Fluent in English; knowledge of additional languages is an advantage.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high-energy environment.
