About the opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for a junior solicitor or law graduate to join our Tax team based in Auckland.
Our team provides specialised tax advice on all types of direct and indirect tax. In this role, you will work closely with our Tax partners Fred Ward and Greg Neill who continue to act on the most significant New Zealand commercial transactions. The team regularly advises on the tax implications of financing and capital raising transactions, mergers and acquisitions, business establishment and reorganisations, investment products, employee remuneration packages, customs and excise, transfer pricing and disputes.

About you

The successful candidate will:
Have up to 2 years' experience in tax (we are also open to receiving application from recent graduates looking to secure a 2026 Law Clerk position in Tax);
Be analytical and have strong attention to detail;
Have a strong academic record;
Enjoy working collaboratively;
Have excellent written and verbal communication skills; and
