The role is about:
As part of our continued growth, we are looking for an entry-level Treasury & Settlement Officer to join our team in Cyprus and support the smooth execution of our daily financial operations.
This role sits at the core of our payments infrastructure, ensuring accurate reconciliation, timely settlements, and effective liquidity management across card schemes, banking partners, and FX operations.
Location: Cyprus
Reporting to: Group Head of Treasury
What you will do:
• Performing daily reconciliation of transactions between internal back-office systems and card schemes (e.g. Visa, Mastercard)
• Monitoring and validating card scheme settlement cycles to ensure accuracy and timeliness
• Reconciling FX trades and confirming settlements with external counterparties
• Conducting daily bank reconciliations, identifying and resolving unmatched items and funds in transit
• Initiating and processing outgoing payments in line with internal procedures
• Executing merchant settlement cycles and ensuring timely disbursement of funds
• Investigating discrepancies within internal systems and resolving reconciliation breaks
• Preparing daily and monthly treasury and reconciliation reports
• Supporting liquidity management activities and ensuring sufficient funding across accounts
• Ensuring adherence to internal controls, policies, and regulatory requirements, including those set by the Central Bank of Cyprus
What we need:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field
• Up to 1-2 years of experience in treasury, payments, reconciliations, or a similar finance function
• Strong analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail
• Excel skills and confidence working with large datasets
• Strong communication skills and a proactive, problem-solving approach
• Understanding of card payments, FX processes, and banking operations will be considered an advantage
• Strong sense of responsibility and ownership, with the ability to take tasks through to completion with minimal supervision.
