The Junior Registered Fire Protection Technician is a Full-time Hourly position. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following tasks:
Tasks & Responsibilities:
Assist Fire Alarm Technicians with weekly, monthly, semi-annual, and annual inspections as required.
Support service work and repairs on fire alarm systems under the supervision of Fire Alarm Technicians.
Assist with Equipment Services Division shop-related duties as required.
Inspect, test, maintain, and repair emergency lighting, extinguishers, and fire hoses.
Deliver and pick up extinguishers, hoses, and other equipment or materials as needed.
Participate in limited on-call rotations under supervision as training progresses.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
CFAA Technician Registration or equivalent certification, is an asset.
1 plus year of experience in the fire alarm industry
Excellent troubleshooting and possess a level of electronic skills.
Knowledgeable on applicable codes and standards
Knowledge of intercom and security systems an asset
Good organizational skills
Efficiency in computer skills
Self-motivated with focus on customer care
Clean drivers abstract and valid drivers license.
