Junior Railway Engineer

We are looking for a Junior Engineer with experience in rail geometric design, to join our ambitious and experienced Linear Infrastructures team. We are working on stages as early as feasibility studies up to detailed designs on a wide range of projects, either as standalone railway team or as part of multidisciplinary teams. Our clients are from the private and public sector and include long term Framework Agreements with numerous Local Authorities together with Design and Build commissions for many major Contractors. Our office has an established track record of successfully delivering railway designs for many years, throughout the USA and Australia not to mention Canada or Middle East. You may have the opportunity to work on some of the most iconic Transportation projects, being part of a diverse and multicultural team for the Europe Enterprise Capabilities Center (Poland/Spain).

Demonstrate and lead AECOM’s culture – make it happen, support your team, embrace the new and different.

Work collaboratively on international projects to support AECOMs Home Offices.

Works on small projects or portions of larger projects supported by EC, with work being reviewed by senior or experienced engineers.

Performing daily work under Designer’s supervision

Can set standards and procedures for CAD works

Working on complex drawings in 2D and 3D including markups and cad works

Preparing geometric design of linear infrastructures

Qualifications

Here's what we're looking for:

Proven track record of working on railway designs (+2 years).

Experience with international regulations and standards (i.e AASTHO; AREMA; Australian Codes; British Standards, etc.) will be considered favorably.

Intermediate knowledge on geometric design and 3D modeling using any of the following:

Bentley Open Roads /Open Rail Designer software.

PowerRail Track

Civil3D

Intermediate level in CAD software (preferable AutoCAD and/or MicroStation).

Experience working in the North America region / Australia will be considered favorably.

Fluent in English (oral and written)

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor or Master degree in Civil Engineering

US and/or Australia Professional Engineer license will be considered favorably
