Role Overview
We are looking for a Junior Product Sales Specialist to support and accelerate the growth of our scalable data product portfolio.
This role is ideal for someone early in their sales career who is eager to learn, enjoys engaging with customers, and wants to build strong commercial foundations in a data and analytics environment.
You will focus on selling defined, repeatable products to new and existing clients, managing a structured sales pipeline, and delivering a high standard of customer service. Over time, this role offers clear progression into more complex solution sales or account management roles.
Key Responsibilities
Driving Product Sales and Supporting Client Growth
• Achieve individual product sales targets in line with defined goals
• Prospect and engage new clients using structured lead lists and campaigns
• Support the retention and growth of existing clients through product upsell and cross-sell opportunities
• Manage a high-volume, structured sales pipeline using CRM tools
• Field in-bound sales leads
• Work closely with senior sales and account teams and leadership to support broader commercial objectives
Delivering a Strong Customer Experience
• Conduct product walkthroughs and demonstrations for prospective and existing clients
• Ensure a smooth onboarding experience for new product customers
• Respond promptly and professionally to client queries and requests
• Build strong, positive relationships with clients through consistent engagement
• Represent Lightstone professionally in all client interactions
Building Product Knowledge and Sales Capability
• Develop strong knowledge of Lightstone’s data products, features, and use cases
• Clearly articulate product value propositions and pricing structures
• Prepare accurate quotes and proposals using standard templates
• Maintain up-to-date sales administration and CRM records
• Actively participate in training, coaching, and development initiatives
Requirements:
Qualifications and Experience
• Appropriate tertiary education – degree-educated
• Valid drivers’ licence and own reliable transport
• 1–3 years’ experience in a sales, customer success, or commercial role
• Exposure to B2B sales environments preferred
• Demonstrated willingness to learn and develop sales skills
• Comfortable engaging with clients via phone, video, and in-person meetings
Technical skills
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
• Willingness to learn and use CRM systems effectively
• Interest in data, analytics, or technology products
• Exposure to retail or consumer-facing industries is advantageous
