Junior Producer

This is a remote role open to those able to work within North American time zones

The Junior Producer supports the delivery of ambitious, interactive digital experiences by helping teams stay organized, aligned, and focused on execution. Working closely with other producers, designers, and developers, this role helps turn complex ideas into clear plans and ensures projects move smoothly from concept through launch.

At Active Theory, production is a creative discipline. Junior Producers are deeply embedded in the work — tracking details, supporting schedules, coordinating assets, and helping maintain a high bar for quality across everything we ship. You’ll work on web-based, interactive, and experimental experiences for forward-thinking clients, gaining hands-on exposure to modern production workflows and creative technology.

This role is ideal for someone early in their production career who is detail-oriented, proactive, and excited to learn how great digital work gets made. You’ll be supported by experienced producers while building the foundation to eventually own larger scopes and responsibilities.

Major Role Responsibilities

Project Execution & Production Support
- Support Senior or Executive Producers across all phases of production, including scoping, design, development, QA, and launchJoin internal and client meetings, helping document decisions, track action items, and follow up on next steps
- Set up, maintain, and update tasks, timelines, and dependencies in JIRA (or similar tools)
- Assist with CMS population, content coordination, and asset management
- Help keep projects on track by monitoring schedules and flagging risks or blockers early

Quality Assurance & Delivery
- Perform QA testing across browsers, devices, and platforms to ensure experiences meet Active Theory’s quality standards
- Log bugs, feedback, and fixes clearly and accurately
- Support launch preparation by validating content, interactions, and requirements
- Maintain a strong attention to detail across all production outputs

Collaboration & Communication
- Work closely with designers, developers, and producers to keep work moving forward
- Support client communication by preparing materials, notes, and follow-ups as needed
- Help ensure clear communication across distributed teams and time zones
- Escalate issues, blockers, or risks to the Senior Producer in a timely manner

Growth & Team Contribution
- Learn and apply production best practices, tools, and workflows
- Support internal process improvements and documentation
- Contribute positively to team culture with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset

Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience in digital production at a creative agency, digital studio, or similar environmentFamiliarity with the full web or digital product lifecycle (concept → design → development → launch)
- Comfortable using G Suite, Asana (or similar PM tools), and communication platforms like Slack
- Basic familiarity with Figma, Photoshop, or related design tools
- Experience working with remote and distributed teams
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including clear client-facing emails and internal collaboration
- Proactive, adaptable, and willing to take initiative to support project success
