Purpose of Role/Summary:
The Junior payments Officer is responsible for initiating, receiving, processing, and verifying transactions related to payment unit operations. Also reconciling payment providers’ ledgers and reporting discrepancies to the supervisor.
Main Activities and Responsibilities:
Process client payments and withdrawals accurately and efficiently
Track the status of payments and ensure timely processing
Verify and reconcile transactions with client accounts to ensure accuracy
Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to payments
Keep stakeholders informed about the status of their transactions and any issues that may arise
Adhere to regulatory requirements and internal policies related to payments and financial transactions
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all payment transactions and client communications
Generate reports on payment activities and account statuses for internal use or regulatory purposes
ensure that payment systems and databases are updated with the latest information and are functioning correctly
Collaborate with other departments, such as compliance, risk management, and customer service, to address payment-related issues
Support senior payment officers or managers with more complex payment processing tasks and projects
Identify and resolve discrepancies in payment records or client accounts
Conduct investigations into errors or issues with payments and implement corrective measures
Any other duties relevant to the role
Required Skills & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in finance or any related field
Power Bi qualifications would be an advantage
1+ year of experience in financial sector
Previous experience in brokerage/ financial firm payment processing or in Finance
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in Excel
Good organizational and analytical skills
Strong team collaboration skills and proven ability to meet tight deadlines

This is a shift-based position - Flexibility to work shifts that cover 24/7
This role follows a rotational shift schedule designed to provide work-life balance and predictability
Monday to Friday
Shift A: 7 am till 3:30 om
Shift B: 3 pm till 11:30 pm
Shift C: 11 pm till 7:30 am next morning
The role is in Limassol, Cyprus (onsite)
