About the role:

As a Junior Payment Operations Assistant, you support the smooth execution of our daily payment processes. You ensure that transactions are accurately recorded, monitored, and documented, contributing to the reliability of our financial operations.

This is an entry-level position, ideal for candidates who want to start their career in Finance or Payment Operations and develop step by step within an international e-commerce environment.

 

About Your Tasks:

• Post and reconcile daily bank and payment transactions in our financial systems

• Monitor incoming and outgoing payments across various payment methods

• Identify, investigate, and flag discrepancies or settlement differences

• Support the resolution of payment-related issues in collaboration with senior team members

• Ensure accurate and complete documentation of all payment processes

• Prepare regular reports on payment volumes, performance, and status

• Act as a first point of contact for internal payment-related inquiries

• Support testing and implementation of new payment methods and system improvements

 

About you:

• Completed commercial training (e.g. kaufmännische Ausbildung) or a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field

• First practical experience in Accounting, Finance, Treasury, or Payment Operations (e.g. internship or working student role) is a plus

• Basic understanding of accounting principles

• Strong attention to detail and a structured, reliable way of working

• Comfortable working with Excel and financial systems

• Hands-on mindset with a willingness to learn and grow

• Fluent in German and confident in basic English
