We are looking for a motivated Junior Mechanical Integration Engineer to join our RAIL engineering team in Naples, Italy. The ideal candidate is proactive, adaptable, and ready to take on a variety of technical challenges in a fast-paced project environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform 3D mechanical integration analysis of train components and produce dedicated reports
• Manage and develop mechanical systems through the SRD, supplier onboarding, and co-design process
• Manage and maintain the full train digital mock-up in 3D CAD software
• Develop tolerance stack-up analyses and management plans to ensure correct mechanical integration of components
• Create full train assembly drawings for manufacturing purposes
• Design mechanical components such as welded frames and bracketry for systems integration

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical background
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software, particularly Creo, Catia, or Autodesk
• Knowledge of DOORS for requirements management
• Familiarity with standard office tools (Word, Excel, etc.)
• Ability to work autonomously and adapt quickly to changing priorities
• Strong team player, comfortable collaborating with international colleagues and senior engineers

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of railway vehicle working principles and relevant standards
• Familiarity with engineering processes and railway operations
• Passion for the railway industry
• Availability for occasional national and international business travel

Languages

• Italian mother tongue is mandatory
• English at least B2 level – mandatory (international working environment)
