The Center for the Governance of Change (CGC) is a foresight applied-research center based at IE University that studies the political, economic, and societal implications of the current technological revolution and advances solutions to overcome its unwanted effects.
The CGC produces pioneering, impact-oriented research that applies interdisciplinary and futures-focused methodologies to unveil the complexity of emerging and disruptive technologies such as AI, quantum, neurotech, or robotics – organized across three knowledge clusters: Politics and Policy, Economic Prosperity, and Security.
In addition, the CGC organizes executive programs on future trends and emerging technologies for public institutions and companies, along with outreach initiatives aimed at strengthening public awareness and agency over the changes ahead. Across all its activities, the Center works towards a single purpose: to help build a more prosperous and sustainable society for all.

We are looking for a person to join a full-time position in Madrid - IE Tower.
Responsibilities:
Your role as a Junior Manager will involve:
The position of Junior Manager at the CGC includes both key strategic planning and delivery assignments as well as operational responsibilities, as shown below.
Support the development of research, training, and outreach of the Center in a strategic capacity, including:
Assist and report to the CGC’s Director and Executive Director.
Participate in the planning meetings of the CGC and in meetings with CGC partners, researchers, and other key stakeholders.
Liaise with the leadership of the CGC to make decisions on implementation and activity execution.
Design and deliver research and training programs as well as outreach initiatives.
Research and write on issues of interest for the CGC.
Possibly appear in media on behalf of the CGC.
The position also includes the management of critical operational tasks:
Implement and monitor the CGC’s day-to-day activities (events, publications, communications, etc.).
Coordinate and manage the CGC’s online presence (website, social media, etc.).
Coordinate staff from different IE departments that provide services to the CGC (Communications, Marketing, etc.).
Manage relationships/agreements with external partners/vendors.
Review financial information and adjust operational budgets.
Qualifications:
To thrive in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
2-4 years of project management experience or similar relevant experience.
Fluent in English and Spanish.
Enthusiasm to become part of the IE community.
Entrepreneurial spirit and communication abilities.
Strong interest in innovation and technology as a driver of change.
Appeal for the research realm, especially in the spaces of policy and technology.
Outstanding writing abilities.
Excellent organizational skills, especially prioritization and proactivity.
Digital skills: LinkedIn, web (Thesaurus), graphic design (PowerPoint, Canva).
Bachelor’s degree.
