Our AI Development department serves as a facilitator for Data & AI transformation. We are taking a holistic approach, from the initial evaluation of AI maturity, through the design and development of data and AI solutions, to the practical implementation and scaling of AI solutions. Through our deep expertise in Data Engineering, Data Science, Machine Learning, we ensure that our clients gain the maximum value from their data.
Your tasks:
Focus: Developing and delivering machine- and deep-learning projects in time-series forecasting, tabular machine learning, and causal inference• You support and deliver end-to-end machine learning projects for our clients, with a focus on time-series and forecasting use cases such as demand forecasting, pricing, anomaly detection, and predictive maintenance
• You design, implement, validate, and deploy machine learning models based on tabular and time-series data, ranging from classical statistical approaches to modern machine learning and deep learning methods
• You apply statistical and causal reasoning to solve complex business problems, using approaches such as controlled experimentation, uncertainty quantification, and decision optimization across a wide range of industries
• You contribute to building robust, scalable, and maintainable ML pipelines and support deploying models into production on modern cloud infrastructures such as Azure, AWS, or GCP
• You collaborate closely with stakeholders and customer representatives to ensure alignment and successful project delivery
• You work with experienced consultants, data scientists, and engineers across different industries and use cases while continuously developing your technical and consulting skills
• Depending on your experience, you gradually take ownership of workstreams, contribute to proposal development, and support the further development of internal best practices in forecasting and applied machine learning
Your profile:
• You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative field such as data science, statistics, mathematics, economics, computer science, business informatics, or a related discipline
• You have gained initial practical experience in data science, for example through internships, working student roles, or one to three years of full-time experience in a relevant environment
• You have very good Python skills and are confident working with modern tools and libraries for data analysis, machine learning, and software development
• You have a strong foundation in machine learning and statistics and understand how to apply it for model validation, interpretation, causal reasoning, and deriving business-relevant insights
• You have first hands-on experience with time-series forecasting using statistical, feature-based, and modern neural methods such as ARIMA or ETS, LightGBM or XGBoost, N-BEATSx or N-HiTS, TFT or PatchTST
• Exposure to modern time-series foundation models such as TimesFM, Chronos, or Moirai is a plus
• You are interested in applying forecasting, anomaly detection, and decision optimization methods in probabilistic and causal settings across a variety of industry use cases
• You ideally have first exposure to cloud platforms, MLOps concepts, or deploying models into production environments
• You are a strong communicator with very good German skills at least at B2 level and excellent English skills at C1 level or higher and are able to present complex topics appropriately to different audiences
• You are curious, proactive, and structured in your way of working and motivated to grow in a consulting environment
• You enjoy occasional business trips to customer sites in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland
