Job Title: IT Systems Administrator (Junior)
Contract: 1 Year, with a potential renewal
Location: Ergo Office, 1sT Floor Block T, D03 R6C6, CO DUBLIN
Working Model: Onsite Client Office/Ergo Office.
Role Type: Individual Contributor
Responsibilities
• Provide first line and second line technical support to end users, troubleshooting and resolving IT
service requests.
• Assist in the administration and maintenance of Windows Server environments, Windows 10/11
systems, and M365 services.
• Monitor, support, and troubleshoot infrastructure and network technology stack including MS O365,
LAN/WAN, VPN, DHCP, DNS, Hyper-V Clustered environments.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and security policies in Active Directory, M365, and Azure.
• Support virtualization platforms, including Hyper-V and Citrix (2203 or later).
• Apply security patching methodologies to both on-premises and cloud systems.
• Assist with backup and disaster recovery processes using Veeam and other enterprise solutions.
• Ensure compliance with IT security policies and best practices, supporting PKI infrastructure and
access controls.
• Utilize ITSM tools such as ServiceNow to track incidents, changes, and service requests.
• Assist in the automation of routine administrative tasks using PowerShell and Bash scripting.
• Maintain documentation of IT systems, configurations and How-to procedures.
• Collaborate with senior engineers and IT teams to ensure efficient IT operations and service delivery.
Skills & Experience
• 2+ years of experience in IT support, system administration, or a similar role in an enterprise
environment.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Technology) or
equivalent experience.
• Strong understanding of Windows Server, Windows 10/11 desktop environments and endpoint
management.
• Hands-on experience with Active Directory, M365, and Azure administration.
• Basic knowledge of network troubleshooting, including LAN, VLANs, DHCP, DNS, and TCP/IP.
• Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as Hyper-V and Citrix.
• Understanding of backup and recovery solutions (Veeam preferred).
• Exposure to IT security principles and PKI infrastructure.
• Familiarity with Microsoft System Centre suite (SCOM, SCCM, SCVMM) is a plus.
• Knowledge of ITIL principles and experience working with ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow).
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
• Certifications: Microsoft Azure Fundamentals, Microsoft 365 Fundamentals, or CompTIA Network+
(preferred but not required)
