Junior International Tax Expert – Support to Geographies

Position Summary
Join Sanofi’s Global Tax team as a Junior International Tax Expert, where you will build a solid foundation in international tax technical expertise while supporting multiple geographies.
In this role, you will work on tax compliance, reporting, transfer pricing, and advisory projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local and global regulations. You will also contribute to tax risk management, research, and process improvements, while gaining exposure to digital tools and data analytics that are transforming the tax function.
As part of our Tax Talent Pool Program, you will receive targeted development opportunities, mentorship, and hands-on experience across diverse jurisdictions—positioning you for future leadership roles within Sanofi’s global tax organization.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Tax & Geographic Support
• International and Multi-Country Tax Support: Deliver tax support across multiple countries/geographies; contribute to process optimization projects with potential for multi-geographies for multi-geography leverage; identify and implement best practices across regions.
• Tax Partnering: Act as a key liaison between corporate and regional/local tax teams; collaborate on transversal processes using a project-based approach to ensure alignment and efficiency.
• Tax Compliance & Reporting: Support geographies in meeting compliance obligations; assist with tax provisions, tax audits and relation with tax authorities, transfer pricing documentation, and analysis of cross-border transactions; ensure accuracy and integrity through robust internal controls.
• Direct Tax Projects: Participate in diverse direct tax projects across jurisdictions to strengthen technical expertise and broaden international tax knowledge.
Digital Transformation & Data Analytics
• Digital Transformation: Participate in initiatives that simplify tax processes, enhance user experience, and strengthen operational controls through automation and innovative tools.
• Data Analytics & Visualization: Extract and analyze tax data; design dashboards to track key metrics; develop solutions using low-code platforms; monitor emerging technologies and trends relevant to tax.
• Innovation & Technology: Support continuous improvement of tax systems and reporting tools; leverage technology to transform complex data into actionable insights and support strategic decision-making.
Additional Responsibilities
• Monitor international tax developments and regulatory changes.
• Participate in tax audits and dispute management.
• Support cross-functional projects and special tax initiatives.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, tax, economics, or related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in corporate tax, public accounting, or tax consulting with international tax exposure.
• Good understanding of corporate tax principles, international tax concepts, and transfer pricing fundamentals.
• Advanced Excel skills; experience with tax software and ERP systems (SAP preferred).
• English proficiency required.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with exceptional attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
• Master’s degree in Taxation, Law (LL.M.), or CPA certification.
• Experience in data transformation and analysis with large datasets.
• Experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or healthcare industries.
• Language proficiency in French.
• Familiarity with BI tools and low-code development platforms.

The salary range for this position is :€36.000,00 - €48.000Final compensation will be determined based on demonstrated experience, skills, location, and other relevant factors. Employees may be eligible to participate in Company employee benefit programs.
