We are looking for a talented Junior/Intermediate Designer with 3–4 years of commercial interiors experience to join our Oakland, CA architecture studio. This role is ideal for a creative professional who is detail-oriented and driven to produce high-quality interior solutions for workplaces, retail spaces, and other commercial environments. Working in our Oakland office, you will collaborate closely with senior designers and project teams while gaining hands-on experience on diverse projects and opportunities for professional growth.
Key Responsibilities
• Support design development and execution of commercial interior projects from concept through completion in Oakland-based projects.
• Prepare detailed drawings, 3D models, presentations, and specifications using Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, or Adobe Creative Suite.
• Collaborate with architects, project managers, and senior designers to ensure design intent is effectively communicated and realized.
• Attend client meetings, design reviews, and presentations to present design concepts and gather feedback.
• Research materials, finishes, furniture, and fixtures for proposals and project specifications.
• Maintain project budgets, schedules, and quality standards while ensuring designs align with client expectations.
• Organize and manage project files, documentation, and construction records for efficient team use.
Requirements:
• 3–4 years of experience in commercial interior design, preferably including workplace, retail, or similar projects.
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, or related design software.
• Strong understanding of commercial interior materials, finishes, and furniture systems.
• Skilled in creating high-quality presentations, renderings, and 3D visualizations.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational abilities.
• Detail-oriented and capable of handling multiple project responsibilities simultaneously.
• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field preferred.
• Familiarity with building codes, accessibility standards, and construction documentation is a plus.
