What you will be responsible for
Role specifics
• Trade Execution & Booking: Executing spot and forward trades, ensuring accurate booking of transactions, and assisting in the management of currency positions.
• Risk Management: Monitoring intraday and end-of-day risk limits (including stop-loss) to ensure compliance with internal and regulatory policies.
• Market Analysis & Research: Analysing economic data, geopolitical events, and market trends to support trading strategies.
• Support & Operations: Assisting senior traders with P&L reporting, client inquiries, and developing trading infrastructure.
• Collaboration: Liaising with sales teams and counterparties to facilitate client needs
Individual Contributor
• Display a culture of individual ownership of tasks to embed a clear individual sense of accountability in performing the role
• Ensure that the highest level of the Code of Conduct is displayed in your behaviour
• Adhere to limits of delegation and escalation procedures required by your manager so that you comply with internal policies and external regulations
Risk Excellence
Ensuring compliance with all corporate standards, codes of conduct, business unit limits and guidelines governing FX sales and trading activities. This includes but is not limited to:
• Counterpart credit limits
• US Swap Dealer requirements, DF regulations, EMIR regulations, MiFID regulations and all local regulations.
• Being fully knowledgeable of internal compliance policies, guidelines, limits and procedures as well as completing all certifications completely and on a timely basis.
• Being conversant in industry best practice and striving to exceed best practices whenever possible.
• Seeking out ways to improve our control framework.
What we value
• Basic knowledge of FX products and macro-economic climate.
• Interpersonal, numerical, problem-solving, analytical skills, market and operational risk focused
• High-pressure tolerance, strong communication skills, and keen attention to detail
Education & Preferred Qualifications
• Degree or equivalent with basic market knowledge
• Fluency in English
• Proficiency in Excel, Python, C++, or other analytical tools
