Junior Estimator
Waltham Cross
Permanent, full-time

The Junior Estimator will undertake all duties associated with that of Junior Estimating operating out of the Company’s office in Waltham Cross, satisfying the delivery of service to all customers and potential customers on maintaining and securing business for projects and products.
This is an entry-level position which requires no prior estimating experience, full training is provided. The role is ideal for candidates from a planned maintenance and construction background looking to step into a commercially focused role.
More about the role:
• Assist with daily sales enquiries.
• Input, Maintain & Update company CRM system.
• Support technical and commercial evaluation of sales enquiries, ensuring that all relevant information is available.
• Support and provide detailed quotations for tender submissions.
• Liaise with suppliers in requesting quotations.
• Carry out site visits with engineers and estimators.
• Work closely with inhouse engineering disciplines and external resources to prepare robust documentation and costing estimates for proposals.
• Work closely with the sales team and provide internal support to all sales related activities.
• Generate new opportunities with new and existing customers, managing the opportunity through to completion.
• Manage teams technicians, sub-contractors and other A&A employees to ensure work is carried out on time and safely.
• Liaise with technicians and subcontractors to carry out site audits as and when required to ensure work is being undertaken to a high standard.
• Supervise specialist subcontractors to ensure the service provided is as per service level agreement; reporting any issues immediately and contributing to problem resolution.
• Establish effective working rapport / partnership with key customers & suppliers, acquiring an in-depth knowledge of their respective products and services.
• Project manage and facilitate your orders (with commercial team support).
• Monitor Sales email inbox.
• Any other duties for which the junior estimator is sufficiently trained and qualified for, as designated by the Senior Management Team.
About you:
• Candidate must be computer literate in all Microsoft Office Applications.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Good time management skills.
• Organised & Punctual.
• Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written, with internal and external clients.
• Demonstrate keen commercial awareness and develop new business with clients at every opportunity.
• Familiarity with OFTEC and the regulations surrounding fuel storage advantage.
• Understanding of Health & Safety qualifications would be an advantage.
• Experience working in a similar Engineering environment would advantage.
