With our project pipeline continuing to expand, we are seeking junior to intermediate scientists experienced in environmental chemistry, contaminated land and remediation. Your role as environmental scientist will include working closely with our US and Canadian teams on large, contaminated land and remediation programmes , while based in South Africa.
Responsible for the study of the relationships of the natural world and the relationships between organisms and their environments. Includes monitoring & recording levels of pollutants, compiling reports, and recommending appropriate actions to ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
Here's what you'll be doing:
• Developing  environmental outputs through various stages of the project.
• Analyse geochemical data to determine the extent and type of contamination.
• Prepare detailed reports on site conditions, contamination levels, and remediation efforts.
• Prepare and review technical reports, and other project documentation, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and consistency.
• Perform specific and limited portions of a broader assignment as an experienced Environmental Scientist.
Here's what are we looking for:
• A relevant university degree in environmental science, geology, hydrogeology, chemistry, or environmental engineering.
• Proven experience in environmental site assessments, environmental reporting, remediation, and compliance with environmental regulations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly and concisely.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering practical and innovative solutions.
• Proficiency in using GIS and other environmental assessment tools.
• Being able to work well in a virtual environment.
• Contributing to the team and taking accountability.
• BA/BS + at least 2 years of relevant experience 
• Demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
