Junior Engineer - Hydraulics & Drainage (pressurized and gravity hydraulic modelling)

We are currently recruiting a Hydraulics Engineer (pressurized and gravity hydraulic modelling), to join our busy and expanding experienced team. The team provides assessment, concept, feasibility, preliminary and detailed designs on a wide range of projects.

Our clients work for private and public sector and include long term Framework Agreements with numerous Local Authorities together with Design and Build commissions for many major Contractors. Our group has an established track record of successfully delivering water designs for many years, throughout the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand among others.

You may have the opportunity to work on some of the most iconic Transportation and Water projects, being part of a diverse and multicultural team for Enterprise Capabilities.

The responsibilities of this role include:

Works on detailed engineering assignments involving network modeling.
Performs hydraulics engineering work in accordance with agreed-upon budget and schedule with minimal supervision.
Accomplishes work autonomously on small to larger projects supported by EC.
Performs self-checks of work products before submission and participates in quality control reviews of documentation from equally or less experienced staff.
Prepares project deliverables that are reviewed by senior team members.
Provides guidance to entry-level engineers.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

Proven track record of working on conveyance and distribution hydraulic modelling (6+years).
Skilled in hydraulics and hydrology software packages related to network modeling, such as WaterGems/SewerGems, Infoworks WS Pro, Infowater Pro, etc.
Advanced level in CAD/BIM/Digital Engineering techniques (preferably Civil 3D and/or OpenRoads Designer).
Experience with international regulations and standards (i.e. AASTHO, AWWA, Australian Codes, British Standards, etc.) will be considered favorably.
Experience working in the North America region/Australia will be considered favorably.
Fluent in English, both oral and written.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor or Master degree in Civil, Environmental or Water Engineering or related field.
