This role is an excellent opportunity for someone starting their IT career to gain hands-on experience. You will be a key part of the team, providing essential day-to-day technology support for WPP. You'll learn to handle common IT issues, assist with basic project tasks, and work closely with experienced team members. This role reports into the Enterprise Technology End User Services Supervisor and collaborates with other teams within Enterprise Technology.
What you'll be doing:
• Provide friendly and helpful on-site support to WPP employees, agencies, and visiting clients, following established procedures.
• This is a 100% onsite role.
• Offer on-site support to WPP agencies
• Assist with basic IT deskside operations and support for standard technology services, including meeting room audio-visual.
• Help build positive relationships with business users.
• Learn to log all IT interactions into a ticketing system accurately.
• Assist with the onboarding and offboarding of new and departing employees, including basic user account setup and asset handling.
• Perform initial diagnosis and resolution of common Level 1 IT incidents (e.g., password resets, basic software issues, printer problems).
• Escalate more complex issues to senior team members or specialized teams as needed.
• Follow security procedures and guidelines.
• Support simple user and office relocations.
• Contribute to the creation and maintenance of IT knowledge base articles and standard procedures.
• Assist with the deployment of hardware and software to end users.
• Help with the management, installation, and removal of IT equipment for break/fix or warranty replacements.
• Support IT asset inventory and basic lifecycle management.
• Collaborate with other IT functions within Enterprise Technology to meet business needs.
• Learn and help implement WPP's global IT standards locally.
• Assist other IT teams with IT changes and ensure local support priorities are met.
• Perform basic device troubleshooting, including resetting devices and cable management.
• Assist with basic testing before and after IT changes.
• Be available for occasional out-of-hours support as required.
• Other duties as assigned to support the team.
What you'll need:
• Experience in an IT support or customer service role (internships or relevant coursework are a plus).
• Basic understanding of Windows and Mac operating systems.
• Eagerness to learn and develop problem-solving skills.
• Positive, "can-do" attitude.
• Good communication skills and a desire to help others.
• Ability to empathize with end users and provide a positive experience.
• Ability to follow instructions and learn new processes quickly.
• Basic organizational skills and ability to manage simple tasks.
• Maintain a professional and friendly demeanour.
