Reporting Line

Operational reporting to Senior System Developer; administrative accountability according to departmental structure.

Primary Responsibilities    

The Junior Developer – 4D Database / 4D Server supports the maintenance, development, and optimization of the company's 4D-based system landscape. The role includes server administration, database development, and technical support for internal users and client systems.

Specific Responsibilities   

• Ensure stable operation of the 4D server environment
• Perform maintenance, updates, troubleshooting, and performance optimization
• Support further development of the 4D database (4D language, structures, forms, business logic)
• Analyze system errors and implement sustainable fixes
• Provide technical support (1st–2nd level) for internal users and clients, including troubleshooting and training
• Contribute to new modules, automation processes, APIs, and integration projects
• Create and maintain technical documentation
• Collaborate with business units to implement functional requirements
• Ensure compliance with internal IT, security, and quality standards

Profile

• Completed technical training or degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent
• Experience with the 4D database environment or strong willingness to learn
• Basic understanding of database concepts and programming logic
• Strong interest in development, debugging, and continuous system improvement
• Structured, reliable work style with high sense of responsibility
• Strong communication skills and enjoyment in supporting users
