About the role:
As a Junior Fuels Designer at ECL, you will take fuels infrastructure projects from conceptual design through detailed design, consent approvals, construction documentation and site observation. You will provide project management support, coordinate with consultants and internal teams, and help deliver projects that meet quality, safety, regulatory and programme expectations.
This role is hands on and visible. You will work closely with internal design and delivery teams, external consultants, clients and stakeholders to ensure high standards of design, documentation and delivery are maintained. You will grow your skills while contributing to real projects and supporting ECL’s operational goals.
• Take fuels projects from conceptual design through detailed design, consent approvals, construction documentation and site observation
• Provide project management support for specific projects
• Engage and manage external consultants to ensure coordinated design documentation that meets client briefs and programmes
• Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Source base site information including legal, utilities and other relevant data
• Prepare clear, accurate and complete detailed design drawings
• Lodge regulatory consent applications and prepare documentation for approvals
• Ensure designs conform to industry practice and regulations
• Deliver projects to programmed milestones
• Maintain and develop design knowledge and skills
• Support team knowledge and skills development and contribute to a positive working environment
• Maintain health and safety knowledge and actively support safe work practices
• Identify opportunities for improvement and present proposals to the manager
A little About You:
• Relevant tertiary qualification desirable
• Experience in design/documentation and preparation using 3D drawing platforms
• A good understanding of HSNO requirements
• Experience using Autodesk software, Revit and AutoCAD compulsory
• Understanding of programme and project management tools such as Microsoft Project or equivalent
• Ability to plan and prioritise work to meet timeframes
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
• Clear, confident written communication tailored to different audiences
• Proactive, independent and uses good judgement
• Proficient in Microsoft O365
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
• Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills
• Commitment to quality service and meeting customer needs
• Organised and self-motivated
