Responsibilities Overview:
The role involves monitoring database instance health (Oracle, MS SQL, MySQL, Postgres, MongoDB), tracking storage and replication status, and responding to alerts. You will manage backup and restore validations (using RMAN and native tools), execute routine maintenance (indexing, stats, patching), and troubleshoot connectivity or networking issues. Additionally, you will perform basic performance triage (AWR/ASH, execution plans), maintain accurate CMDB inventory, manage user access/security controls, and support migration projects.

Skillset:
•
Database Engines: Operational knowledge of MS SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB

•
Oracle Technologies: Hands-on experience with RMAN, ASM, Data Guard, Listener/TNS, and FRA

•
Diagnostic Tools: Analysis of AWR, ASH, execution plans, and wait events

•
Backup Procedures: Proficiency in native tools (msdb jobs, mysqldump, pg_dump, snapshots)

•
Network & Security: TLS/certificate management, driver configurations, and audit settings

Requirements:
•
Professional English proficiency (both verbal and written)

•
Strict adherence to ITSM processes and Change Control discipline

•
Strong documentation skills (maintaining SOPs and knowledge base articles)

•
Ability to escalate complex issues and collaborate effectively with L3 SMEs

•
Bonus: Experience with scripting languages like PowerShell, Bash, or Python
