Job Description

As member of the Group Financial Control department within Group Finance you will be reporting to the Director of the Financial Control Team and you will work actively together with the Group Financial Controllers. As a Junior Financial Controller, you will support the Group Financial Control department in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with internal and external reporting standards, and contributing to process improvements. This role is ideal for candidates looking to build a strong foundation in financial control within a dynamic and international environment. You will help ensuring that the overall Vanderlande P&L and balance sheet provides a true and fair view of its financial position and of the results of its operations according to law and regulations (IFRS, J-SOX, Dutch GAAP etc.).

As Junior Financial Controller, you

• Ensure the overall P&L and balance sheet provide a true and fair view of the company’s financial position;
• Assist in monthly and quarterly closing activities;
• Prepare and reconcile balance sheet accounts;
• Support manual journal entries and documentation;
• Contribute to J-SOx compliance efforts and maintain documentation for internal controls and audit readiness;
• Coordinate and deliver required documentation for the PwC group audit;
• Ensure timely and accurate responses to audit requests;
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather and validate audit materials;
• Provide support in ad hoc financial analysis and reporting requests;
• Work closely with senior controllers and financial shared service centers to ensure data accuracy and timely reporting;
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
