Junior Business Analyst – Data Governance

About the Role:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Junior Business Analyst to support our data governance initiatives and help ensure the quality, accuracy, and compliance of business data. This role provides an excellent opportunity to grow in data management, analytics, and process improvement while collaborating with business and IT stakeholders.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in maintaining and enforcing data governance policies, standards, and procedures across the organization.

• Support data quality initiatives, including identifying, documenting, and resolving data issues.

• Collaborate with business and IT teams to ensure consistent data definitions, metadata management, and reporting standards.

• Collect, analyze, and validate data to support reporting, dashboards, and decision-making.

• Assist in creating and maintaining process documentation, data dictionaries, and workflows.

• Support audits and compliance checks related to data governance and data management practices.

• Help identify opportunities to improve data processes, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiency.

 

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field.

• 1–2 years of experience in business analysis, data management, or related roles (internships or project experience considered).

• Basic understanding of data governance principles, data quality, and metadata management.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.

• Proficiency in Excel, SQL, and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.

• Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to Have:

• Familiarity with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).

• Experience with data cataloging or MDM tools.

• Exposure to business process modeling or workflow documentation.
