The role
We are seeking a highly driven, high-ownership Junior Associate, Capital Markets to support capital raising, lender execution, and strategic finance initiatives across our development portfolio. This is not a passive analyst role - you will operate as an execution partner across financing, underwriting, lender coordination, and deal operations.
You will work directly with senior leadership on active deals, communicate directly with lending partners and gain exposure to institutional lenders, structured finance, development operations, and capital strategy. The ideal candidate is analytical, proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable taking ownership in fast-moving environments.
Your day-to-day
Capital markets execution
• Support execution of construction, bridge, mezzanine, and development financing transactions.
• Coordinate lender due diligence requests, underwriting packages, closing checklists, and data rooms.
• Assist with review and comparison of loan terms, pricing, leverage metrics, reserves, and covenant structures.
• Track financing timelines and proactively identify execution risks or bottlenecks.
Financial modeling & underwriting
• Build and maintain project-level underwriting and capital stack models.
• Analyze project returns, debt sizing, DSCR, LTC/LTV, interest carry, and sensitivity scenarios.
• Support appraisal, lender, and investor packages with accurate financial analysis and project assumptions.
Strategic operations & ownership
• Prepare executive summaries, lender memos, and internal strategy materials.
• Manage financing trackers, covenant calendars, and draw process coordination.
Relationship management
• Serve as a day-to-day point of contact for lenders, brokers, consultants, and financing counterparties.
• Maintain organized diligence vaults and ensure timely delivery of information requests.
• Support long-term lender relationship management through responsive communication and execution reliability.
You're going to be a great fit if...
• You have 2-4 years of experience in finance, real estate, investment banking, private credit, development, or related fields.
• Strong Google sheets, G-Suite and financial modeling capabilities.
• Understanding of real estate financing concepts including LTC, LTV, DSCR, Cash to close, interest reserves, and capital stacks.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• High attention to detail and willingness to take initiative without constant oversight.
