About the Position
The Jr. Analyst supports the delivery of high-impact market intelligence projects that help innovative ventures validate markets, refine go-to-market strategies, and make informed growth decisions.
Working closely with senior market intelligence team members, this role focuses on building strong research foundations, developing analytical skills, and contributing to high-quality client deliverables.
This is a fixed term contract position ending March 31, 2027.
Key Responsibilities
Support the execution of high-impact market research projects for venture clients’ research needs, generating insights related to market sizing, market opportunity assessments, investment strategies, GTM strategies, competitive intelligence, and partnership identification.
Key tasks include: project scoping, developing proposals and research frameworks, conducting research and analysis, holding client check-ins, and presenting findings and recommendations.
Directly work with clients to translate communicated business challenges and research needs into executive-level research outputs and recommendations to be presented to the client.
Develop high-quality and visually appealing forecast models, reports, and deliverables to communicate complex market research findings rooted in quantitative data analysis, policy, literature review, and expert interviews.
Collaborate with colleagues to develop strategies, frameworks, and methodologies that elevate the team’s market research capabilities and iterate on product offerings to improve client experiences and support venture growth.6. Occasionally take on secondments or special projects for strategic partners and teams.
Maintain project management practices by ensuring timely and detailed reporting of client projects in Salesforce, Asana, and other relevant platforms. Contribute to internal operational efficiency initiatives and other internal projects as needed.

Qualifications
Completed Bachelor’s degree
0-2 years of prior experience (including, internships, co-ops, academic research, coursework) in market research, business/data analytics, consulting, strategy.
Knowledge and interest in Software & Emerging Technologies (e.g., FinTech, EdTech, Cybersecurity, Semiconductors, AI, Digital Health, Enterprise SaaS)
Proficiency in Excel (i.e. XLOOKUP, pivot tables, SUMIFS, data visualization) and PowerPoint.
Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data to synthesize actionable insights.
Strong communication/presentation skills with ability to explain technical concepts to clients.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
Ability to communicate with clients with tact and sensitivity.
Experience in executing quantitative and/or qualitative research methodologies.
Nice to have
Master's degree or Market Research Certificate
Experience working in a startup, incubator/accelerator, VC firm, or non-profit, an asset.
Experience with building TAM models, scorecards, and conducting competitor or partnership analysis.
Experience desigining and executing primary research (e.g. surveys, interviews, focus groups).
Exposure to project management tools (e.g. Asana) or CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce).

Salary Range: $50,000 - $62,000, extended healthcare benefits, wellness spending account, and paid time-off.
