Role Summary and Impact
This is a fantastic opportunity where we are looking for a Commercial Compliance Jnr Analyst to become part of the WPP Media UK Commercial Compliance team, reporting to a Commercial Snr Manager. This is a key role, with an overriding objective to partner with the Commercial Snr Managers, Commercial stakeholders, and Client teams to ensure that the agency is reporting and complying with all aspects of its contractual commitments whilst fostering a growth mindset.
This includes working with the Commercial team and client teams, to ensure that contractual provisions in terms of charging mechanisms and notifications to clients are managed accurately and in a timely manner, whilst always having an eye on the Commercial growth and profitability of WPP Media UK. The key aspect of the role is to ensure that reporting systems, controls, and processes are robust, standardised, and applied to eliminate any risk of revenue loss.
Responsibilities
Client compliance:
• Assist in preparing client returns in line with our contracts, client notifications and declarations to clients and/ or global commercial finance teams.
• Preparations for Global request and reporting.
• Work to reduce the Media accruals by resolving Media Supplier queries within the Client Teams.
• Reviewing details for individual media accruals prior to any Contractual Compliance returns are made to reduce potential risk to our business.
• Action the returns to clients and maintain trackers for these returns
• Prepare and co-ordinate bank transfers, with all supporting documentation.
Client audits:
• To assist with client audits liaising with third party audit firms.
• Prepare and organise audit samples and supporting documentation in advance of the audits.
• Follow up audit queries in a timely manner
• Co-ordinating briefing meetings with the client teams to support samples.
• Assist with post-audit remediation plans are executed and ensure any changes are communicated to the relevant account teams immediately.
Other:
• Proactive support with Self certifications of clients in advance of audits
• Ad-hoc samples to spot checks policies and compliance, example, Inventory media disclaimer and retention documentation.
• Assist with the preparation and review of Monthly reporting for all OMI in line with our client contracts
• Assist with the preparation and review of Balance sheet monthly reporting for OMI.
• Ensure we comply with SOX controls.
• Assist with ad-hoc task / projects to support the Commercial Compliance managers.

• Proficient user of MS Excel
• Mediaocean system knowledge desirable, but not essential
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Proactive and self-motivated with the ability to work well under pressure, the ability to problem solves and meet tight deadlines.
• Studying or keen to study towards professional qualification ACA, ACCA, CIMA
