Role Overview

We are hiring a Junior Accounting Operations Associate to support core accounting functions with a focus on Accounts Receivable and general accounting support tied to U.S.-based processes. This role is designed for early-career accounting professionals seeking practical experience in a remote, structured environment while working closely with senior accounting team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with Accounts Receivable activities, including invoice generation, payment tracking, and customer account updates

• Perform customer account reconciliations and follow up on outstanding balances

• Maintain accurate financial records in accordance with U.S. accounting standards

• Support month-end close processes, particularly AR-related schedules and reconciliations

• Assist with documentation and support tasks related to U.S. tax preparation

• Prepare basic accounting reports and supporting documentation

• Communicate with internal teams to resolve billing or accounting inquiries

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline (or currently completing final year of studies)

• Basic understanding of Accounts Receivable and general accounting principles

• Familiarity with U.S. accounting standards and financial processes

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work within defined procedures

• Proficiency in spreadsheets and entry-level accounting systems

• Non-negotiable: Must have prior experience working in a remote environment, be fluent with remote collaboration tools (such as Slack, Zoom, Google Workspace, Asana, or similar), and have experience working with US or UK-based companies. Candidates without this experience will not be considered.

Preferred Qualifications

• Internship or junior experience in accounting, AR, or bookkeeping

• Exposure to U.S. tax support or compliance-related tasks

• Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar

• Familiarity with month-end close or financial reporting support
