Junior Accounting Officer

The Junior Accounting Officer at Octal Philippines Inc. assists in managing the company's day-to-day accounting operations. This role involves processing financial transactions, supporting month-end closing activities, and ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. The Junior Accounting Officer works closely with the accounting team to maintain accurate financial records and provide timely reports to management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepares regulatory and internal reports accurately and ensures submission within the given deadline
• Assist in accounts payable and accounts receivable processing
• Perform monthly bank account reconciliations
• Prepares monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Help manage payroll records and government compliance reporting (BIR, SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, etc.)
• Assist with audits and tax filings
• Apply new accounting policies and ensure compliance with rules and regulations
• Other administrative or accounting tasks as required

Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Relevant experience in accounting or finance is preferred.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
• Familiarity with accounting software is an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and meet deadlines.
