Role Summary
The Junior Project Manager is responsible for managing assigned engineering and manufacturing projects from initiation through closeout, ensuring delivery on scope, schedule, cost, quality, and customer expectations.
This role is ideal for an early-career project management professional who is ready to transition from coordination and support into direct project ownership. The Junior Project Manager works closely with engineering, production, supply chain, and commercial teams, and serves as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders and customers on assigned projects.
Key Accountabilities:
Project Management & Delivery
Manage assigned projects through the full project lifecycle, from order handover to final delivery and closeout.
Develop and maintain project plans, including scope definition, schedules, budgets, and resource requirements.
Track project progress and performance against milestones, cost targets, and quality standards.
Identify risks and issues proactively, develop mitigation plans, and escalate to project team.
Ensure changes to scope, cost, or schedule are documented, reviewed, and approved.
Stakeholder & Customer Management
Serve as the primary point of contact for customers on assigned projects.
Lead customer communications, including status updates, schedules, and issue resolution.
Build strong working relationships with cross-functional teams and customers to support successful outcomes.
Cross-Functional Coordination
Ensure required resources are identified, scheduled, and aligned with project priorities.
Collaborate with production teams on daily project execution, priorities, and constraints.
Quality, Risk & Continuous Improvement
Ensure project deliverables meet technical, quality, and customer requirements.
Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for project issues or non-conformances.
Contribute to process improvements, lessons learned, and standardization within the Project Engineering Group.
Skills & Competencies:
Technical & Professional Skills
Working knowledge of project management principles, tools, and methodologies.
Experience working in an engineering, manufacturing, or industrial environment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools (e.g., MS Project).
Experience working with ERP systems in a project, manufacturing, or order-management environment.
Ability to interpret technical documentation, schedules, and financial data.

Education and Experience
Engineering Degree or equivalent.
Working toward achieving PMP Certification or achieved.
2 to 5 years of experience working with engineering, manufacturing and distribution operations in an industrial environment.
Project management skills are essential.
