EnerMech is seeking a Junior Operations Engineer to support Pipeline and Process Unit (PPU) operations in Guyana. Reporting to the Operations Manager and working closely with Senior Project Engineers, this role will support the planning, execution, and delivery of field operations across a range of PPU service lines.
This is a hands-on, field-focused role ideal for an engineer looking to further develop operational and project execution experience in a fast-paced environment.
Job Description:
• Support the engineering and execution of PPU operations, including activities such as filling, flushing, pigging, hydrotesting, dewatering, conditioning, and umbilical testing and commissioning.
• Assist with the preparation of operational procedures, risk assessments, and project schedules.
• Support day-to-day field operations to ensure work is carried out in line with approved procedures and project requirements.
• Verify that equipment and tooling meet project specifications and are fit for purpose.
• Coordinate with Project Engineers, Supervisors, Technicians, and client representatives to ensure smooth execution.
• Ensure all operational documentation, loadouts, packing lists, and close-out paperwork are completed accurately and on time.
• Promote and maintain high standards of safety, quality, and environmental compliance across all activities.
• Participate in toolbox talks, permit-to-work processes, and Management of Change activities.
• Provide operational and administrative support to the workshop and project teams as required.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a recognized Mechanical vocational qualification/certification.
• Valid driver’s license and passport.
• BOSIET and UKOOA medical certification (or ability to obtain).
• Minimum 3 years of field experience within PPU services or a related discipline, ideally with some supervisory exposure.
• Hands-on experience in one or more PPU service lines.
• Strong understanding of field operations and safety systems.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs.
• Comfortable producing accurate field documentation and reports
