Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Junior Electrical Drafter to support the design and documentation of HVAC electrical systems for commercial and/or industrial projects. This entry-level role is ideal for someone looking to grow their drafting and electrical design skills while working under the guidance of senior engineers and designers.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in preparing HVAC electrical drawings, schematics, and layouts using AutoCAD, Revit, or similar drafting software
Draft power, control, and wiring diagrams for HVAC equipment and systems
Update and revise drawings based on redlines, markups, and design changes
Coordinate drawings with HVAC, mechanical, architectural, and structural disciplines
Maintain drawing standards, file organization, and project documentation
Perform basic calculations and take-offs as directed
Ensure drawings comply with applicable codes, standards, and company guidelines
Support project teams during design development and construction phases
Qualifications
Associate degree or technical diploma in Drafting, Electrical Technology, HVAC, or a related field
Basic understanding of HVAC systems and electrical principles
Proficiency or working knowledge of AutoCAD; Revit experience is a plus
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Willingness to learn and accept feedback
Good communication and teamwork skills
Hours of Work
Mondays to Thursdays: 6:00 am - 3:30 pm
Fridays 6:00am - 2:30pm
