Education and Work Experience Requirements:

 ·       3 to 5 years of experience as a Data Scientist / NLP Engineer

·       Proven track record and experience with statistical modeling/data mining algorithms such as:

o   Multivariate Regression, Logistic Regression, Clustering Algorithms, Support Vector Machines, Decision Trees, etc.

o   Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Graph Mining

o   DOE, Forecasting, Segmentation, Uncertainty Analysis

o   Data Mining including Text Mining and Classification Methods – SVM, Neural Networks, etc.

o   Vector Space Models for Unstructured Text

o   Sentiment Analysis, Association Mining, Semantic Analysis

·       Strong experience in working with unstructured text data using transformer-based models and modern NLP techniques.

·       Expertise in building statistical models and/or optimization frameworks to improve processes, products, and business outcomes.

·       Proficiency in one or more programming languages:

o   Python (preferred) or Java

·       Strong hands-on experience with:

o   NLP libraries such as SpaCy, NLTK, Gensim, OpenNLP, CoreNLP

o   Regular Expressions (RegEx) for text parsing, preprocessing, and data extraction

o   Large Language Models (LLMs) and Knowledge Graphs

·       Good knowledge of supervised and unsupervised NLP tasks including:

o   Intent recognition

o   Entity extraction

o   Text classification

o   Question answering

o   Summarization

o   Topic modeling

·       Experience building and fine-tuning Language Models (LMs) such as BERT, ELMo, XLNet, or similar transformer-based architectures for domain-specific NLP use cases.

·       Experience in developing end-to-end AI/ML/NLP pipelines including data ingestion, preprocessing, model development, and deployment.

·       Familiarity with HTML for building simple interfaces, annotation tools, or AI-powered web applications.

·       Experience with containerization tools such as Docker for model packaging, deployment, and scalable AI solution delivery.

·       Tech-savvy with strong exposure to open-source tools and frameworks.

·       Ability to independently handle technical projects and provide technical direction to team members.

·       Experience in converting business ideas into actionable AI solution designs and influencing stakeholders with data-driven insights.

·       Strong communication and storytelling skills with the ability to present complex AI/ML insights to cross-functional stakeholders.

·       Good to have foundational knowledge of:

o   Cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)

o   API frameworks such as Flask or FastAPI

o   MLOps best practices and model lifecycle management

·       Prior experience in Mobility, Manufacturing, or Healthcare domain is a plus.

Mandatory Skills:

·       Strong hands-on expertise in Python (or Java), NLP, RegEx, SpaCy, NLTK, and transformer-based models.

Educational qualification:

BE/B.Tech or Equivalent Degree
