Job Purpose
The Junior Accountant will provide vital support to the financial department by managing daily accounting tasks. The primary goal is to maintain accurate financial records, assist with month-end closing procedures, and ensure compliance with established accounting principles.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Financial Documentation: Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports (Balance Sheets, P&L statements).Invoicing: Prepare Invoice and deliver to the client on timely mannerAccounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoices, record payments, and monitor aging reports to ensure timely collections and disbursements.Reconciliations: Perform monthly bank, credit card, and inter-company reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies.Journal Entries: Prepare and post routine journal entries for accruals, prepayments, and general ledger maintenance.Audit Support: Organize and provide necessary documentation for internal and external audits.Compliance: Assist in filing tax returns and ensuring adherence to local financial regulations and company policies.
Required Qualifications
Education: M.com Finance or Accounting
Previous internship experience in a corporate accounting or audit environment.
Competencies:
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Integrity and ability to handle confidential financial data.
Preferred Skills
• Understanding of basic GST Filing
• Strong communication skills for interacting with vendors and internal departments.
• Proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables)
• Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, Wave)
Working Conditions
• Work Arrangement: On-site opportunity based out of our Trivandrum office.
• Travel Requirements: Occasional travel may be required for team meetings, user research, or conferences.
• On-Call Requirements: Light on-call rotation may be required depending on operational needs.
• Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.
