The Opportunity - Journeyperson Millwright
MM Limited Partnership (MML), a Mikisew Group company, is currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Journeyperson Millwright to join our operation at Syncrude Canada Site. MML provides comprehensive Client services in facility maintenance, road and grounds, projects, winterization services and industrial refrigeration services.
Shift: 7 Days on 7 days off (12 hrs/day)
Wage: Per collective agreement/General Presidents Maintenance Agreement (GPMA)
Must be willing/able to join Union Local 1460

Purpose & Key Accountabilities:
Installing, assembling, and aligning machinery and equipment.
Performing preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical systems.
Diagnosing mechanical faults and troubleshooting issues.
Conducting routine inspections to ensure equipment is operating efficiently.
Collaborating with other technicians and engineering teams.
Ensuring compliance with safety protocols and regulations.
Using precision tools and equipment to measure and align machinery.
Documenting maintenance activities
Duties & Responsibilities:
Installing and commissioning machinery and equipment on-site.
Performing regular maintenance and repairs to ensure optimal performance.
Troubleshooting and diagnosing mechanical issues promptly.
Ensuring proper alignment and calibration of equipment.
Conducting safety checks and adhering to all safety regulations.
Collaborating with on-site teams and other trades to coordinate tasks.
Documenting all work performed, including maintenance records and repairs.
Responding quickly to emergency breakdowns and minimizing downtime.
Pump and gearbox re-builds with fine attention to details.
Work in accordance with Pipe fitters and familiar with isolation process.

Qualifications/Experience:
Certification from a recognized trade board or governing body.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Experience with installing, maintaining, and repairing industrial machinery and equipment.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
Knowledge of safety protocols and best practices in industrial environments.
Familiarity with precision tools and alignment techniques.
Site Required Training
OSSA Regional Orientation, BSO, CSO
Elevated Work Platform (EWP), Confined Space, Fall Arrest
Valid Class 5 Drivers License & Clean Driving Record
Ability to complete a security clearance
Successfully complete Pre-Access Alcohol & Drug Screening
