JourneyOne -Senior Solution Architect (Solutioniser)

We are seeking Senior Solution Architects (Solutionisers) to join JourneyOne, one of Rmkble’s specialist businesses dedicated to taking clients on remarkable transformation journeys.

As a senior Solutioniser, you will lead solution design journeys and create strong client relationships. With excellent engagement and communication skills, you will create lasting value by understanding business problems and translate them into outcomes that address functional and non-functional needs.

We are looking for people who are passionate about technology and are great at explaining their point of view. They understand the need to take a big picture view and practically align solutions to strategy, budgets, timelines and technology standards.

Solution Architecture Delivery

• Demonstrate ownership for overall solution design, considering functional and non-functional requirements (risk / compliance, performance, scalability, security, usability etc).
• Assess and communicate the impact of technical changes on business operations to client stakeholder groups.
• Contribute to solution options analysis and estimates to ensure solution design aligns with budget and schedule expectations.

• Contribute to architecture plans, strategies, and standards. Create and present solution designs and architecture deliverables, showing how the solution impacts the client’s Enterprise Architecture.
• Manage evolving solution design through the journey, maintaining alignment to principles and negotiating agreement on deviations.

Skills & Technical Expertise

• Diverse enterprise experience with exposure across multiple technology domains and an area of speciality within application development, cloud, integration, data, AI / ML or cyber security.
• Passion for the industry and continuous learning to keep up with ICT trends; evaluate emerging practices and technologies and recommend best-practices.
• Apply techniques for evaluations includes weighted scorecard, Proof of Concept, reference site and vendor roadmaps to select solutions.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Collaborate with stakeholder groups to identify preferred architectural options and clearly articulate the rationale, factoring in the different stakeholder perspectives.
• Present findings and recommendations to client executives and influence positive engagement outcomes.
• Use reviews and workshops to improve solution designs and support conformance of build activities to the recommended architecture.

Technologies & Methodologies

• 5+ years’ experience in project delivery in consultancy environments.
• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Architecture certifications e.g. TOGAF, SABSA, Zachman.
• Relevant cloud knowledge and certifications (examples AWS Certified / Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect, Google Cloud.
• Programming languages Java, JavaScript, PHP, Python.
• ITIL, Agile, Kanban, Lean knowledge.
• MIRO, Mural collaborative tools.
