Position: Journeyman & Apprentice Pipefitters – Turnaround
We are currently hiring Journeyman and Apprentice Pipefitters (employees & DSPs) for a turnaround project in Fort McMurray, AB starting early May, 2026.
Qualifications & Education:
Journeyman Certificate or active Apprenticeship in Pipefitting
Relevant experience in the Oil & Gas industry
Required certifications: H2S Alive, CSTS or CSO, WHMIS 2015, Confined Space and Fall Protection
Preferred certifications: Elevated Work Platform (EWP) and First Aid.
Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
Successful completion of Pre-Access Drug & Alcohol testing
Skills, Attributes, and Responsibilities:
Ability to read and interpret Isometric Drawings
Experience with bundle pulling, including assisting with bundle extraction and reinstallation scopes
Expertise in piping systems, including measuring, cutting, threading, grooving, bolt-ups, torquing, and bending
Strong problem-solving skills and sound judgment in complex decision-making
Effective communication skills and a commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
Ensure all work meets Canoco’s safety protocols and client-specific requirements
Take initiative in contributing to training and mentorship opportunities within the Pipefitter role
