Job Description

Perform structural welding on commercial, industrial and agricultural construction sites

Read and interpret blueprints and welding procedures

Operate equipment safely and efficiently

Carry out ironwork and site preparation for precast wall panel installation

Maintain and care for company welding rig (keep clean, organized, and in good working condition)

Work effectively within a 3-5 person crew

Assist in a variety of tasks that help the progress of the build

Adapt to working outdoors in all weather conditions

Take direction and closely collaborate with foremen and supervisors

Adhere to all company policies and procedures

Requirements

Applicants successful in the interview process will be asked to complete a pre-employment assessment as part of the final hiring process

Hold CWB and a valid Journeyman welding ticket

Previous structural steel welding experience

Ability to weld in any position at various heights

The ability to lift at least 50lbs and comfortable with heights with proper safety restraints

Valid Class 5 license, acceptable driver’s abstract, and reliable transportation

Valid Standard First Aid, Fall Protection and Aerial Work Platform

Available to work away from home Monday-Friday, occasional Saturday

Minimum 44-50 hours per week, must be flexible and willing to work overtime

Thrive in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail

Local to willing to relocate to Central Alberta

CWB Welding Supervisor ticket
