• Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine layout of plumbing system, water supply network and waste and drainage systems

• Install, repair and maintain domestic, commercial or industrial plumbing fixtures and systems

• Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes and fixtures in walls and floors

• Cut opening in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings

• Measure, cut, bend and thread pipes using hand and power tools or machines

• Join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement or soldering, brazing and welding equipment

• Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges

• May prepare cost estimates

• Other duties that are required

MUST HAVE OR OBTAIN BC JOURNEYMEN STATUS for credentials

• Punctual

• Attention to detail

• Driver licence is an asset (Clean Drivers Abstract)

• Willing to work overtime, evenings and weekends if needed

• Willing to work out of town occasionally

• Own tools is an asset

• Team player and be able to work independently

• Good customer service skills

• Must be able to pass drug test

• Criminal record check is required

• Must be willing to participate in professional development (company paid)

• Willing to wear proper PPE at all times

Benefits Package: Extended medical and dental - after 90 days

If overnight work is needed, hotel and per diam is provided at 60 per day. (withing 3 hour radius)
