Position Overview:

The Industrial Mechanic/Heavy Duty Mechanic will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a variety of heavy equipment and industrial machinery to ensure safe and efficient operations. This role requires strong mechanical knowledge, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to preventative maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems on heavy equipment and machinery

Perform preventative maintenance to minimize downtime

Troubleshoot mechanical failures and recommend solutions

Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals

Operate tools and equipment safely and in compliance with company and regulatory standards

Maintain accurate service and repair records

Collaborate with other team members to ensure safe and efficient work practices

Qualifications:

Journeyman Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) or Heavy Duty Equipment Technician certification (or equivalent experience)

Previous experience in heavy equipment or industrial maintenance (mining, oil & gas, construction, or manufacturing considered an asset)

Strong understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, and fabrication

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Commitment to workplace safety and regulatory compliance

Valid driver’s license
