POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a skilled Journeyman Electrician – Tester, HVAC or Electrical / HVAC Commissioning Technician to support start-up, commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting of HVAC units in our Calgary manufacturing facility. This role also supports emergency on-site service when required.

WORK SCHEDULE

3:30 pm – 1 am Monday to Thursday,  3:30 pm – 12 am Friday, 44-hour work week 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform start-up and commissioning of HVAC units in the shop

Test electrical circuits, controls, and panel boxes

Splice, join, and connect wiring

Measure voltage, loads, and ground fault integrity

Troubleshoot, diagnose, and isolate electrical and control faults

Identify potential issues to prevent premature failures or callbacks

Analyze and resolve technical problems efficiently

Read and interpret blueprints and layouts

Install electrical components according to design specifications

Support emergency on-site start-up/service when required

Assist with natural gas or propane heating commissioning

Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

Red Seal Journeyman ticket (required)

Minimum 5 years of electrical experience in Alberta

HVAC experience (required)

Knowledge of natural gas or propane heating systems

Knowledge of JIC piping (preferred)

Strong control troubleshooting skills

Strong blueprint and layout interpretation skills

Valid driver’s license with clean driver’s abstract
