POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a Journeyman Electrician - Lead Hand to join our Electrical team. This role plays a critical part in supporting the manufacturing, installation, and quality assurance of complex HVAC systems. The ideal candidate will bring strong industrial electrical experience, a commitment to safety, and a team-first mindset while mentoring apprentices and assemblers, ensuring high-quality installations.
WORK SCHEDULE
Afternoon Shift
Monday - Thursday, 4:00pm - 1:30am, Friday, 4:00pm - 12:30am
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Support and mentor electrical apprentices and assemblers while fostering a strong team environment
Provide technical guidance on electrical design, installations, and operations
Install, assemble, and maintain conduit systems (rigid, aluminum, etc.)
Install, test, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems including controls and panel boxes
Interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and Canadian Electrical Code requirements
Optimize manpower, materials, and resources to meet production efficiency targets
Perform voltage, load, and fault testing to ensure system integrity
Complete quality control documentation accurately and consistently
Lead installations based on system design and specifications
Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Red Seal/ Journeyman Electrician certification
Minimum 5 years of electrical experience in Alberta
Experience in commercial/industrial HVAC (asset)
Strong understanding of electrical prints, diagrams, and schematics
Solid knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
Proven ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
Team-oriented with a willingness to mentor and share knowledge
Valid Class 5 driver’s license with clean abstract
TOOLS REQUIRED
Electrical tools and equipment required for installation and troubleshooting
Familiarity with testing devices and diagnostic equipment
