Journeyman, Automotive Mechanic

We are looking to hire a Journeyman, Automotive Mechanic to join our growing team in Slave Lake, Alberta

Roles and Responsibilities:

Provide light vehicle troubleshooting and diagnostic repairs.

Installation of new and added-on equipment.

Monitor parts usage and report on any materials issues.

Assist in ordering replacement equipment, parts and supplies.

Ensure accurate completion of work orders and timecards.

Test repaired equipment for proper performance.

Clean, lubricate and perform other maintenance work.

Keep detailed and accurate maintenance reports and documentation.

Maintain a working knowledge of changes in technology and repair techniques.

Maintain safe working conditions and adhere to occupational health and safety regulations.

Assist in preparing preventative and predictive maintenance schedules.

Perform in a team environment with minimal supervision.

Perform other mechanical repair work as required.

Required Skills:

Licensed Journeyman Automotive Mechanic.

Red Seal Certification Preferred.

At least 3 years of experience as an Automotive Mechanic.

Experience working with commercial equipment, machinery and vehicles.

Valid driver’s license with clean drivers abstract.

Ability to work independently in a busy environment.

Experience with routine maintenance operations.

Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment.

Effective communication skills - verbal and written.

Able to work well under pressure.

Computer literate.
