Position Overview:
Software Quality Validation Sr. Engineer, in charge of Pre-SOP Quality Confirmation activities at AMP2 KSA for Software prior to deployment. Software Quality Validation Sr. Engineer with a strong background in software quality. This role leads the planning and execution of software quality assessments across key digital domains including infotainment, data connectivity & security, control platforms, and ADAS. The Sr. Engineer will play a key role in fostering a culture of software quality excellence by driving proactive risk management and quality improvements throughout the development lifecycle. The successful candidate will have a strong track record of improving Software quality, preferably with direct OEM experience.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams (CFTs) to evaluate and improve software quality across multiple vehicle programs.
• Drive software quality validation for major digital domains: Infotainment, Data Connectivity & Security, Control Platform, and ADAS.
• Conduct new software testing at plant level prior to Software release through OTA and provide feedback on open issues and bugs to CFT team for troubleshooting.
• Align software quality assurance activities with PDP (Product Development Process) milestones.
• Identify potential quality risks early and lead mitigation planning through development phases.
• Collaborate closely with software development, validation, and release teams to ensure closure of issues and continuous improvement.
• Conduct structured KSA Software Quality Assessments and deliver result reports prior to software release to customers/factory and support release readiness review.
• Conduct Software Safe Launch at KSA factory to perform final quality inspections and evaluations on SOP cars, deliver result reports and support production readiness review.
• Defining scope, test, and data documentation processes for software issues from Pre-SOP Quality Confirmation program for KSA, overseeing data collection, and delivering result reports.
• Represent the software quality function in cross-functional reviews and program decision forums
• Foster a culture of software quality ownership within development teams through best practice sharing and process engagement.
Skills:
• Hands-on experience with software issue triage and OTA.
• Familiarity with OTA processes, telematics platforms, and diagnostic workflows (e.g., DTCs, log analysis)
• Working knowledge of software lifecycle and issue tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Polaron).
• Proficiency with Vector CANalyzer for in-vehicle communication analysis.
• Experience collaborating with global teams and adapting quality strategies across different vehicle platforms.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of experience in automotive software development, validation, or software quality engineering.
• Deep understanding of at least one or more digital domains (e.g., Infotainment, ADAS, Connectivity, Control Systems)
• Working knowledge of structured development and quality frameworks (e.g., ASPICE, ISO 26262, or similar.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders across departments.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and documentation skills
