Requirements

Education and/or Experience:

•
High school diploma or GED required.

• Prior law enforcement experience may be required for security positions.

•
Proof of graduation from a U.S. civilian or military law enforcement academy or a federal/state corrections academy with firearms certification may be required for security positions.

Language Skills:

• Proficient in English (reading, writing, and speaking); able to write detailed incident reports.

Other Qualifications:

•
U.S. Citizen; 21 years of age or older for armed positions

• U.S. Citizen; 18 years of age or older for unarmed positions

•
Some security positions require eligibility for deputation under the U.S. Marshals Service Special Deputation Program.

•
Some security positions require applicants to meet standards for physical fitness, vision, hearing, and medical conditions as outlined in the SOW.
