As a Senior Software Engineer in one of our 30 engineering platforms operating at hyper-scale receiving thousands of requests per second, you'll work as part of strong cross functional Agile teams driving quality and technology bringing your skills and experience to share with the team and mentor the other engineers' day to day. From problem solving to new concept ideas, you have the genuine opportunity to unleash your full potential and creativity on a variety of ASOS software projects.

What our day looks like:

Work as part of an enthusiastic and motivated agile development team that takes pride in delivering high-quality software into production
Take a test first approach from business requirements through to code
You will/Continually develop and improve our code and technology, whilst playing an active role in the conception of brand new features for our millions of global customers
Keep our customers happy by writing high quality code to handle our hyper-scale demand
Join our regular Tech Develops days to learn new things, take part in internal and external hackathons, share your knowledge and help to drive improvements in engineering.
Qualifications
Solid experience of C# .NET software development and delivering production code in an Agile environment.
Proven experience delivering highly scalable software with containerisation and AKS.
Practical experience using Bicep, Terraform, ARM templates.
Full familiarity and experience with Azure – Microsoft Certified desirable.
A passion for optimisation, memory management, monitoring, alerting, and advanced debugging techniques.
An understanding of the importance of data warehousing strategies.
Expertise in user testing and analytics frameworks.
A passion for secure development practices, e.g. OWASP top 10.
An expert in continuous delivery/deployment, and a drive to improve the team’s delivery practices.
Confidence in talking to senior business stakeholders and refining requirements.
Extensive knowledge of architectural patterns and design practices.
First-hand experience and confidence being a technical decision maker, e.g. in vendor/technology selection.
Experience leading Code Reviews, 3 Amigos, Stand Up, Retrospectives.
Experience or a willingness to learn to be cross-disciplinary; understanding front-end technologies like Node.JS, React, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML and CSS.
An interest in mentoring and developing junior team members and contributing to working groups.
